SYDNEY ALIYA
Our precious baby girl arrived on Thursday March 4, which was almost 2 weeks past her expected due date. I think she just wanted to wait until spring to make her grand entrance into the world. We have had such beautiful weather since she arrived and already she's been out and about in the stroller soaking up the sunshine and fresh air!
She was 19 inches long and weighed 8 pounds 15 ounces...(I've been rounding that up to 9 pounds!) Big baby girl! Almost 2 pounds bigger than her sister! That's significant when it's on a little one and your delivering "au natural" :)
The birth went smooth and quicker than with Norah so that was a definite perk. I was able to deliver all natural again so I was excited about that....although I must admit at one point during the labor I began to think I was a bit crazy for not wanting the drugs, but in the end I was glad I didn't need the drugs and it made the recovery that much easier and faster. Not to mention that we have an amazing midwife that we adore and who makes our birthing experiences that much greater. We have tried to make her promise that she won’t retire until we are all finished having babies!!!
