This past weekend Randy headed out with some guys for a biking trip up to Mackinaw--3 days of 80 mile biking! Now that is some serious road biking! It was a fun weekend for him to get away and have a break from all the crazy hours he's been working the last few months and to have some fun guy time. They biked during the day and camped at night. He had a riot!
Meanwhile I offered to take my 3 nieces for the weekend while my brother and sister-in-law went up north for a long weekend away. I know some would say I was absolutley crazy but we had a blast. (I realized today that I was a little more tired than I had originally thought...Norah and I hung out in PJ's and napped a bit today--good to catch up on some sleep!) But we had such a fun weekend. We went to the Festival, Children's Museum, shopping for their b-day presents (all three of their b-days are in June), picnic, rollerblading, park a couple times, grandma's house, did some crafts, made homemade pizzas, and they all got a little birthday cake of their own they got to decorate. Fun! Crazy busy but fun! It is fun being an aunt....I get to spoil them a little bit and for now they still think I'm cool!
And what great little helpers they were. They called it "Norah duty" and regularly rotated roles on who got to hold and play and read to Norah. Needless to say I think she was a little bored today when it was just her and I. She loved having having her cousins around all the time and just couldn't get enough of them!
Norah finding her own things to explore at the children's museum. She's getting so big!

The girls birthdays are all so close together so we made little individual cakes and they got to decorate their own b-day cake....I've never seen so much frosting and sprinkles on a cake! But they said it was yummy!

Silly!

You are such a good aunt, and of course so creative!! I know the girls really love to hang out with you and Norah. Randy probably takes a back seat now. Nice pics at the park and the museum.
